Through Mary’s Blue Door, I help my clients heal emotional traumas and release limiting beliefs, allowing them to move forward in life with renewed conviction, direction and purpose.
WHY I DO WHAT I DO
As a teenager I always had a desire to be part of the medical field. However, that did not happen for me at that point of my life. I moved forward and discovered a Food Chemistry class in college. I fell in love and never could have predicted how that decision would alter the course of my life.
In 2004 my eldest son was diagnosed with autism.
After a few years of traditional therapy I realized he needed more help so I quit my job and decided to put my full knowledge of food and science into healing him. After extensive research I found many tools and products that I used on a daily basis. I also radically changed how we ate, and my son started to heal. He went from being moderately autistic, to very mild. So mild, that most people would not realize that he has a diagnosis. For me, I saw the power of healing foods and alternative healing. In 2012, I decided to share the tools and knowledge I have found through a business I created called Dr. Mary O’s Health & Fitness.
A year into my business, it was doing well, my family was thriving, I had a terrific husband who loved me, a marriage that had gone through tough times and was healing beautifully – so why was I feeling so blah?
During an encounter with a dear friend and neighbor, Amy, I shared my woes with her. In just a few minutes of sharing, she looked me straight in the eye and said, “Mary, it sounds to me like you are spiritually disconnected”.
I was a little taken aback- what did she mean? I went to church, I even prayed! But over time as her words sank in, I realized that I was going through a lot of the “right” motions but I wasn’t truly deeply connected with this God, I thought I loved. That conversation opened a door in my awareness and shortly afterwards I was led to a Reiki Practitioner, Essential Oils and Transformational Breath®.
All of these modalities were deeply healing for me, but it was in Transformational Breath® that I found my vocation.
Like many of you, I had never heard of Transformational Breath® before attending my first workshop. I went purely out of curiosity to see if this class lived up to its promise of giving me joy and peace! And boy oh boy did it deliver.!
That session changed my life, my perspective, my work, my everything!
I had such an overwhelming experience of unconditional love from what I call God, the Divine source, the Creator of all, whatever you want to call it, that I was flooded with tears of joy, relief, expansion and grief for all the time I had wasted not realizing how deeply I was loved and that I was Love. I began to realize that I had not allowed myself to feel not just God’s love, but my husband’s love, my own love for myself. I felt I had to always earn it, to be worthy of it, to deserve it and every time I did something “bad” I would punish myself by denying myself love and forgiveness. After that first session I knew I was going to become a facilitator. I knew I was not the only one feeling the way I was. I knew I didn’t want to keep this awesome secret from the world. I wanted to share it and shout it from the rooftops!
The joy, lightness and relaxation I experienced were so profound, I knew I had to share it with my beautiful clients.
