RAINDROP TECNIQUE 2018-01-14T17:29:07+00:00

Raindrop Technique is a powerful aromatherapy/massage technique developed by D.Gary Young, founder of Young Living, and based upon the antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory powers of several important essential oil. It’s benefits include feeling energized but relaxed, mentally rejuvenated, emotionally uplifted and balanced in the body.

1. Aromatherapy

Seven single essential oils, two essential oil blends and one essential oil massage blend are used in a Raindrop technique session. These oils are inhaled by the client prior to their application to the body. It is congruent with the French application of aromatherapy where essential oils are applied NEAT (undiluted) to the body.

2. Vita Flex

This is an ancient Tibetan methodology meaning “vitality through the reflexes” was brought to the US in the 1920s by Stanley Burroughs. With this technique, oils are applied to the body and a small amount of pressure is applied by the fingernails, which results in a small electrical charge. This charge facilitates the penetration of the oil deeply into the body.

3. Feather Stroking

In massage, this would be referred to as effleurage. It was taught to Gary Young by the Lakota elder, Wallace Black Elk. It is used in Raindrop Technique during the spinal application of the oils.

  • Re-Balance and alignment – The combination of techniques brings electrical and structural alignment to the body. The essential oil blend of Valor helps the body align and is often referred to as “chiropractor in the bottle”. In fact, the spine gets aligned to such a degree that most of my clients will stand ½ to 1 inch taller after a session.
  • Relaxation – Not only can the oils enhance positive emotions such as joy and happiness, but they can also help us release negative emotions that are subconsciously stored on a cellular level. After a session, myself, and many clients report feeling very energized as well.
  • Support Healthy Immune System – Thyme and Oregano essential oils support a healthy immune system. I use Raindrop Technique on my family any time they are coming down with a bug. And within hours they will feel 50-100% improved.
  • Emotional Well Being and Release – Because the oils go directly to the central or limbic brain when inhaled, the storage place for your emotions, you may experience strong feelings when on the table.  The oils also penetrate cellular membranes, going directly to the muscles, tissues and organs throughout your body, stimulating forgotten emotions.
  • Help Detox the Body Systems –  Sometimes the detox process results in some unpleasant symptoms such as body soreness, sinus drainage, headaches, coughing or skin eruption.  While these may not be comfortable, just know that this is your body’s way of ridding itself of these toxins, sometimes held for decades.  These minor symptoms, which should only last a day or so, may actually be saving you from a much more serious illness at a later time.  For most people, the RDT is a wonderful and pleasant experience where you will experience a sense of well-being, relaxation and energy.  In some cases, chronic ailments have completely disappeared after just one session, or just afterwards, but of course, every person is different and each session is different, depending on where you are at the time.
  • Pain Relief I have had many clients experience pain relief and improved mobility after a raindrop session. There have also been reports in elimination of menstrual pain and bloating symptoms. Again, each person is unique and I always trust that what needs to be healed will be healed.
